New Layout Experience Coming Soon

We’re excited to introduce a major upgrade to how authors create interactive content with H5P! With this upcoming release, all users - free, paying and premium - will see improvements when working with Pages (formerly known as Column) and Interactive Books.

Whether you're on the open-source platform or using H5P.com, your content creation workflow is getting smarter and more flexible.

We’re always looking for new ways to help you create engaging, beautifully structured content - and soon, you’ll have even more tools at your fingertips.

In our upcoming release, we’re introducing powerful new layout capabilities that make it easier than ever to design clear, flexible, and visually appealing content. Whether you’re working in Pages or Interactive Books, you’ll soon be able to arrange your content using multiple columns and rows, giving you greater control over how your ideas are presented.

We’re also enhancing the editing experience itself. Although the full visual Layout Builder is a premium feature, we’ve significantly improved the standard form-based editor to support these new layout features. This means you’ll still be able to create more advanced and dynamic layouts - just in a more structured, form-driven way.

With the new Row content type, you can divide your content into multiple sections and organize it exactly how you want. This makes it easier to group related text, images, or interactions, highlight key information, and design pages that flow more naturally for your learners. Even without the visual drag-and-drop interface, these new options give you a lot more freedom and flexibility to build content that feels professional and polished.

Good news: Everything you’ve already built will continue to work seamlessly - no updates or adjustments required on your end.

A Sneak Peek at the Layout Builder

For those using H5P.com with the premium add-on (or supported LMS integrations via LTI), an even more dynamic editing experience is on the way. The new Layout Builder introduces a fully visual, drag-and-drop interface for Pages and Interactive Books.
