external video sources with the H5P Interactive Video activity
Hi everyone,
I’m new to H5P and I’m hoping to get some guidance.
I’m currently exploring options for using external video sources with the H5P Interactive Video activity. Our team suggested trying out Red5 Pro as a streaming backend (https://www.red5.net/), but I’m not sure about the compatibility.
few questions for clarification:-
Has anyone here successfully used an external video source from Red5 Pro with H5P’s Interactive Video content type?
What specific requirements or formats does H5P expect when linking an external video source for Interactive Video?
If anyone has recommendations for reliable video streaming engines, preferably with an on-premises deployment option, I’d appreciate your input.
Thanks in advance for any help or guidance!

H5P.Video does not have
H5P.Video does not have inbuilt support for streaming. Without an integration to a third party service that offers an application programming interface, you can only use media files that a browser's native HTML5 player would accept. Those will not be streamed however, but loaded (fully) by the browser.
